After the release of beta 1.12, this was the first time I tried to change the CSS loading method. So, I changed external files to inline css and the settings saved fine. But now when I try to change it back to external files, the settings are not saved at all and the admin ajax error is displayed in the browser console.
I can reproduce this constantly. All plugins are disabled.
When will the problem be solved?
When I disable all performance settings and then change the CSS loading method to external files, the problem is resolved.
Of course, if I repeat this cycle again, saving the settings again will be problematic.

Now, I think if you disable cascade layers, and try to save it, it should work. I don’t think you need to disable all settings.
