In the Elements panel, the search icon looks like a button, yet it isn’t clickable. Shouldn’t it just be a simple icon?

The search icon is intended to focus the Elements search field when clicked. If clicking the search icon does not focus the field for you, please share your Browser and OS version, and a short recording of that click behavior so we can test the same case.

That’s true, but the focus triggers even if we don’t click the search icon. My point was simply that it might be better for the search icon to be just a simple icon without a background style that appears on hover and without the pointer cursor much like the search box at the top of the Elements panel.
Yeah, I see what you’re getting at. But what exactly about it is a “bug”? The functionality is not limited in any way whatsoever…
You can post something like this under “improvements” to see if there are others who are bothered by it, too.
