Post Excerpt when using Bricks Builder to Build Post in Blog page

Hi Team and Community,

I am using Bricks Builder to build Post and it is working well.

On Blog listing page, I am trying to show post excerpt using {post_excerpt} but this does not show anything there.

Is there any work around or need to use some other tag ? Please help.

If {post_excerpt} does not generate any output, then probably the excerpt is empty.

The underlying problem is that (as far as I know) Bricks does not auto-generate an excerpt from Bricks content (like WordPress by auto-generates an excerpt from block editor content).

I see two options to solve your problem:

  1. Create the excerpts manually.
  2. Activate the option «Save Bricks data as Block editor data» to save a copy of Bricks content as block editor content.
