Hello Dear, @thomas
I have worked with many clients, 90% of them are coming from Elementor to Bricks Builder. Most of the clients use crocoblock jetEngine. But Bricks Builder does not support custom content types. also Query Builder + Dynamic Visibility. Although dynamic visibility can be done with Bricks Builder. Great.
However, many things are done on the website through custom content type + Query Builder + Dynamic Visibility on the client site.
So they don’t want to use bricks builder.
Is it possible to fully integrate jetEngine with Bricks Builder?
If possible then this feature should be brought soon.
Thank you
Shamim
I fully agree! CCT integration would be amazing! I also have one client who has some kind of “glossary” on his website with hundreds of technical terms and descriptions which was built with an accordion.
It´d be great if I could just create a query loop with the “Accordion” element to automatically show all the elements that were created as CCT. This would not only save us a lot of time for manually typing in all these terms and descriptions in the Accordion but would also allow our client to easily add or remove terms by himself from the Wordpress backend!
Crocoblock Query Builder should be integrated from Crocoblock team not Bricks Team. So probably you should contact Crocoblock support for this one. At the end after query builder from Crocoblock will be integrated with bricks then you should be able to create custom queries for CCT as well. So it should solve both your fetaures at once
I just downloaded the Beta from the Crocoblock website, created a query with the Query Builder on the mentioned website with the technical terms and then tried loading that query into a Bricks Accordion using the “Use query loop” and setting the created Query there.
Unfortunately that did not work as expected. Coming from Elementor I know how to work with the Query Builder from Crocoblock but it looks like it´s either different in Bricks or it´s not working correctly yet with JetEngine 3.4.0 which is why it´s always difficult to know if I should contact the Crocoblock support or the Bricks support.
In this specific case the creation of the query with the Crocoblock Query Builder worked and in the preview the query items were listed correctly. However, when I now create the accordion, check “Use query loop”, set the Type to “JetEngine Query Builder” it says “NO RESULTS”.
I don´t know what the “Template” and “Text” fields are used for but as far as I remember from Elementor I still need to select the Query that I created. By just setting the Query Type to “JetEngine Query Builder” Bricks probably doesn´t know which specific query I wanna use there.
If I remember correctly from Elementor there should be another dropdown select where I can select the Query that I created.
And because of this I´m never sure if this is a Crocoblock problem now (because of the way the Query was created, etc.) or a Bricks problem (because the element doesn´t have an option to select the specific Query .
Is that feature from Bricks? If yes contact Bricks Support.
If it is third party plugin feature you should contact third parties Anyway try to reach Crocoblock for this specific case and see if that feature is possible with Crocoblock Query Builder at this time.
