Please turn the old Theme Styles back! v2.2rc

Hi. I’m testing 2.2rc and have encountered an inconvenience with editing Theme Styles. In the old version, it was implemented in the sidebar, which is exactly what needed. In the current version, managing theme settings has become very inconvenient and slows down the work. Yes, in the latest release, you added a window where I can preview changes, but everything is too small and I can’t see the full effect of the changes. Also, I can’t immediately test hover effects. I have to close the popup and check how it looks.

Please, leave the popup for variables, classes, and libraries! Theme Styles should remain in the sidebar.

I agree – or at least, have an option where I can turn off the live preview screen, as that is taking up way too much real estate.

Yeah, I was hoping the RC would revert theme styles back to the sidebar somehow. The preview window is much too small and like you said, you can’t preview hover states at all. At least the pseudo state dropdown is sticky now and always visible. Still some work that can be done though. Covering up the canvas is not ideal.

I also find it made more sense how it worked before. I don’t find the benefit of the canvas preview over what we had on Brick 2.1

A million times this. The new version is appalling. I have no idea how that one got through internal review, a beta, an RC and then a full release.

Easily the worst thing that’s been done with bricks in a while… it’s honestly that bad

I love Bricks, I really do.

In terms of functionality (UX), it’s perfect, but I think they need a better team for the whole UI aspect, as it’s becoming increasingly ugly and unintuitive.

Soоооо, version 2.2 has been released, and they’ve given up on this message and on displaying the pop-up window so that at least something can be seen when changing theme styles. Thanks a lot, damn
