Order by option has no effect in Related products query

Hi,
“Order by” settings has no effect in related products query.
The results change order every other page refresh:

Additionally, Taxonomy query also has no effect. All age categories are still displayed despite narrowing the query to Related products and indicating a specific category whose children are to be displayed:

Hi,
after a whole day of testing, I set up a copy of the website and tested it there:

  1. I installed Bricks 2.0 - no changes. As one of the forum posts suggested, the query may be broken due to special characters in category names. The admin wrote that this problem was fixed in version 2.0 - apparently it wasn’t.

  2. I restored Bricks 1.12.4 and for the selected product I removed most of the categories, and left only two subcategories for the Age category, the results of which I want to list in Related Products - this worked!.

  3. I started adding more categories and unfortunately the results started to break. I couldn’t find a pattern - bricks behaves unpredictably - once the results were correct up to 5 added categories, sometimes they broke down with three.

At this point I conclude that the parameters entered into the taxonomy term are not included in the query, i.e. it does not limit the results to the selected category. Usually, when the taxonomy query is incorrect, there are no results - and here they appear, which is misleading.
