NO BUG: Weird line breaks in Rich Text Block

Browser: Chrome Version 127.0.6533.120
OS: macOS
URL: Can I send this privately?

I have a rich text block but the text isn’t filling the full width, there are weird line breaks in the text. I’ve tried re-typing it to ensure there aren’t any hidden characters. Checked the CSS and there doesn’t seem to be any classes causing it.

My developer set the site up using Automaticcss, but I can’t see any potential conflicts.

Hi Andy,
Welcome to the forum!

As far as I can see, the width of the rich text element itself is limited to .width–l (acss class). Remove the class, and the text will use the available space.

Best regards,
timmse

Removing that class made some lines behave as expected, but not all of them. Any other ideas?

Hey @AndyBarnes,

it’s probably the text-wrap: balance that is set by ACSS.

Have a look at the ACSS dashboard (Typography > Text > Text Wrap) to disable this setting.

Bingo! Thanks - that solved it…
