In a template I’ve set up two queries, one for products and one query for subcategories. When all subcategories have no posts (products) they won’t show up. When I put one product in one of the subcategories all the categories show up.

I tried to use different settings throughout both queries, but no luck so far.

I tested it on the staging environment, but it has the same behavior.
Another instance (before updates) of the website I set up this loop:

As already said via email: The issue was caused by a condition that always returned false
