NO BUG: Updating to 1.9.1 broke JetSmartFilters

JetSmartFilters are showing on canvas.

No filters on front-end.

It was working perfectly until 1.9.1.

@tole011 What are the conditions you’ve set on those filters?

Could you send over some WordPress admin login details via email (help@bricksbuilder.io) plus the URL of this page/template so we can have a look?

Thanks for your time. Login data sent.

@tole011 Thank you so much for the login details.

If I clear “If item empty” setting for the “Select filter” element, the filter shows (incl. the options):

We don’t know how the custom element of this plugin determines that the query is empty. It’s something the Crocoblock support knows best & would have to adjust accordingly.

Could you please contact their support as well, informing them about this behavior? We are always happy to help if they need any input about this from us.

Yes, it shows, but the filter is not working. When I revert to 1.9 everything is working. I tried it on another site. Same situation. As for Croco support, what should I ask them? Filters stopped working after changes were made in Bricks.

Yes, that’s enough. The error can be reproduced very easily.

Unfortunately extremely many bugs at the moment with JetSmartFilters and JetEngine…

To be honest, until today only problem I had was with the lightbox and popup in the filtered query loop. Lightbox problem is solved with the latest update of JSF 3.2.1. Popup is in the testing stage and should be fixed in 3.2.2 or 3.2.3 (info from Crocoblock).

I’ve been using JetSmartFilter/JetEngine for Bricks since the alpha release and I’ve already passed through 10-15 bugs, which subjectively were often worked on without much pririty. Probably because only a few users are currently using Bricks.

It is without question a good product and the performance under Bricks is much better than under Elementor but you can see that the priority is Elementor (atm), which is not wrong. That’s probably where most of the money comes in. I would do it the same way

JFYI: I’ve set JetEngine Query Builder as a source for Query Loop and filters are now working fine for me.

Goran
