I have enabled scroll snap on another website, it works perfectly. Enabling it on the above website does nothing - I have played around with custom and default selector, changes section heights, gone through the chrome console - can see no errors or no indication why it doesn’t work.
I applied them in the Page Settings section, I also tried applying them on the individual Section layout settings afterwards. I tried them with the default selectors, and with custom selectors.
At the moment I’ve removed them from the page I’ve linked in favour of a custom CSS solution with BricksForge, as I need to get the site ready for review in 3 days time haha.
Any troubleshooting I can do from my side? Can I apply them and look for scroll-snap CSS in the Chrome console?
Hmm, I’ve seen another report about scroll snapping where the user also had Bricksforge active. It was a different issue though so maybe it’s not related.
Could you maybe try disabling Bricksforge temporarily and add scroll-snapping through the page settings again and see if that does the trick?
Interesting - I’ve just tried it with Bricksforge disabled, using page settings, with full cache refresh and still nothing.
Could it be related to CSS smooth-scrolling from another plugin? Happy to test different setups because it’s a cool feature and nice to add through the UI.
In general smooth scrolling & scroll snapping should work together, but you could try disabling all plugins and try setting scroll snapping again. If it works, then you can start enabling plugins one by one to find the culprit.
But if scroll snapping is not working even with all plugins being disabled, you can share temporary admin access to help@bricksbuilder.io and we can try investigating further just please make sure to include this forum thread’s URL in the email.
I have disabled all plugins, including Advanced Themer, Bricks Extras, and BF and still nothing - it’s strange as it works on another site I have with the same plugins. Something to note - the site used to have Oxygen & motion.page installed - I disabled and removed all Oxy plugins, and cleaned the database tables so didn’t think it’d be that, before installing Bricks - but might be related - I understand this isn’t Bricks support related if so!
It’s in active dev 12 hours a day at the moment (rush job) but I’ll email login details later in the week if the Bricks team would like to have a look and I havne’t been able to fix.
I wasn’t able to find the cause of the issue, but I de-activated plugins, wiped the database of anything I didn’t recognise, re-activated plugins, and created a new page - now scroll-snap is working across all website pages - so I’m thinking the cause was a remnant from an old plugin.
