NO BUG: Radial gradient cross-browser bug

Browser: Chrome 110
OS: macOS / Windows / Linux / etc.

Hey, I just picked up Bricks recently. I’m using a radial gradient on my testing website. But on different browsers, it seems like the background actually loses the softness and circles appear. So it seems to be a cross-browser thing. See screenshots.

Chrome (running fine):

Firefox:

Hi @broberto,

Thank you for reporting this and welcome back to the forum

Not sure if this counts as a bug but it was reported to Firefox 13 years ago and the ticket is still open: 627771 - Add dithering to gradient color transitions to address banding in 24-bit "truecolor". Chrome uses dithering which gives radial gradients that “smooth” effect.

But I’m tagging this as “no bug” since it’s not related to Bricks.

Thanks for the feedback, in the meantime I already found some articles about banding of the gradients. It made me sad, because Bricks makes it so easy to do such things, yet it can’t be used, as browsers do their browserish things.

Thank you @charaf for getting to me.
