NO BUG: Product showing in query loop with catalogue visibility set to hidden

Description:
When WooCommerce product is set to “Catalogue visibility: Hidden” it still shows in a query loop in all Bricks versions 2.3.x

Downgrading the theme to version 2.2 seems to fix the bug.

Let me know if you need more info.

Thanks

Hi Matt,
Thanks so much for your report!

Unfortunately, I cannot reproduce the issue. Please try again with the latest version, which is 2.3.4. If it still won’t work, disable all plugins except WooCommerce and test again.

Best regards,
timmse

This also happened on my end as soon as I updated to bricks v2.3, and still does in v2.3.4.

I have set the products to privately published at the moment as a quick fix, though it would be nice to know if this is happening for anyone else.

Welcome to the forum!
As I said, unfortunately I can’t reproduce the problem…

It would be great if at least one of you could send us the login credentials to an installation where we can see the problem. Please send them to help@bricksbuilder.io along with a link to this thread and information about which products are affected :v:

Hey @timmse,

I’ve sent an email to help@bricksbuilder.io with access details.

Cheers
Matt

Thanks, Matt!
I’ve enabled “Is main query,” which seems to be working for the shop template.

However, it doesn’t work with the search results template—it’s possible that one of your 46 ( :face_with_bags_under_eyes:) plugins is to blame…

Thanks @timmse .

That’s an interesting one, as I have deactivated all plugins, and the issue seems to persist on the search results template.

I’ll keep all plugins deactivated on staging, so you can have look, while you still have access.

Hi @matt-cnc ,

The product will still be showing on the WordPress global search template as it’s a bug from WooCommerce.

You can replicate the same by switching to the default WP theme.

Thanks @itchycode !

I will exclude this product manually, as in our case it’s just one product, so not a big deal.

Cheers!
