NO BUG: {post_terms_category} outputs escaped <a> tag in Page Settings > SEO > Document title

URL: Borlabs Cookie 3.4 - News - Borlabs

When {post_terms_category} is used in Page Settings > SEO > Document title, the output includes the term’s full anchor tag instead of just the category name. The HTML is then escaped, so it appears as literal markup in the browser tab and in search results.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open a post that has a category assigned (e.g. “News”).
  2. Go to Page Settings > SEO > Document title.
  3. Enter something like: {post_title} - {post_terms_category}
  4. Save and view the page source.

Expected result:

<title>Borlabs Cookie 3.4 - News - Borlabs</title>

Actual result:

<title>Borlabs Cookie 3.4 - &lt;a href=&quot;https://borlabs.io/category/news/&quot;&gt;News&lt;/a&gt; - Borlabs</title>

Question:
Is this intended behavior?

Hey @Borlabs-Ben,

you might be looking for {post_terms_category:plain} (see Academy).

Best,
