If we increase the size of the flag to 20px or more in the language change element, the error Serves images with low resolution will be taken in Google Lighthouse. But if we leave the flag size value empty, the error will be fixed.
This is a bug on polylang’s part, right?

Thanks so much for your report!
Polylang’s default flags have an intrinsic size of 16x11 px. Since they are not SVGs, they will be pixelated when scaled up.
You can use custom flags in different file formats if you want to:
