disabling photoswipe js/css loading on pages it is not used, bricks creates a div for photoswipe which is visible on the frontend. wondering why it is loaded when not used. i’ve checked templates and elements and can’t see any that should be calling the library on all urls.

Unfortunately, I cannot reproduce the issue. Please deactivate all plugins and see if Photoswipe is still loaded. If used on a page, the markup of the Bricks lightbox also looks slightly different.
We had this report a while ago, which might be similar: SOLVED: Photoswipe Library is loaded even if lightbox is disabled aslong a lightbox ID is set
