When I apply an overlay to an image element (not background image), it does not appear in the builder or on the front end.

Can you please try disabling all plugins and clearing your cache? It looks to me like the rendered image markup in the URL you’ve shared isn’t the default markup.
If the issue persists and you couldn’t find a culprit, can you please share temporary admin access with a link to this thread at help@bricksbuilder.io so I can take a better look?

I deactivated all plugins. No caching plugin installed, but I cleared my browser cache. The problem still persists.
I sent you an admin login.

Also, the code element is not showing overlays either and the copy ID button does not work.

Hey @Travis,
as we’re using pseudo elements for the overlay functionality (which you can’t apply to a regular img tag) make sure to change the tag to figure and it works as expected.
