NO BUG: New version of header template breaks when condition is applied

Browser: Chrome 110
OS: Windows
URL: all pages at https://floodcousa.com/
Video: https://youtu.be/F1AN3Aly_0o

Please see link to video that demonstrates the issue.

In the Video: I set the template setting condition on the new header I want to display> disable currently displayed header> when I refresh, new header is broken > changes the settings back to as it was> header is no longer broken for the old version.

So my current header(v2) is working fine but I made a new version to update the layout. Currently the template condition is set to display throughout the entire site but when I apply the same setting to my new header, the actual output on the browser-end does not display what is rendered on bricks.

I’m not sure what other settings I’m missing, happy to provide more information as necessary, thank you in advance.

Hi Luke,
Thanks so much for your report!

It’s pretty hard to follow your video without any explanations :face_with_peeking_eye:

I assume that the other header templates are still published, right? If so, please change the header templates you don’t want to use from published to draft. Then it should actually work as expected.

Best regards,

Hey @timmse , your solution worked for the desktop side, any tips for the mobile end?

image above is how its displaying on phones,

it renders fine on inspection browser window.

The one has nothing to do with the other

To be honest, I can’t quite figure out what you’ve done there… especially as it looks just as bad for me in responsive mode on desktop. It’s best to delete both menus completely and add a new, nav element – then it should work.

If it doesn’t work, you should deactivate your plugins one by one.

Maybe the problem is caused by some JS setting in WP-Rocket?

wp rocket caching setting fixed it. :star_struck:
