NO BUG: New try to bricks, all content disappeared

Browser: MS Edge
OS: Windows
URL: https://staging.petsittingdiary.com/

My website was made by The7 theme and WPBakery. You can see the original content on the live site: https://petsittingdiary.com/

I have installed the parent theme of bricks and the child theme as well. Activated child theme of bricks. The content is still there when just click the “Edit” button (Screenshot by Lightshot). But no content showed up if clicking the “Edit with Bricks” button (Screenshot by Lightshot). The page was blank. I tried to add a line to see if anything would change, but the result is only this line showed up (Here goes your text … Select any part of your text to access the formatting toolbar.).

Gutenberg data doesn’t show up in Bricks by default. Go to Bricks settings, General tab and enable Load Gutenberg data into Bricks in the Gutenberg data section. This will only convert standard Gutenberg blocks.

Thank you for your reply!

I have enabled the setting of “Load Gutenberg Data Into Bricks” through the Bricks setting.
But still the data is not showing in the Bricks editor.

Then, I believe I have to “Delete Bricks Data” according to your tutorial article above, but, unfortunately, I cannot find the button.

I can see where the button in your illustration: Screenshot by Lightshot
But it seems that I cannot reach this page anymore. Maybe it’s because wordpress has been updated? Once I click “Edit”, it will bring me to the wordpress editor page in which I cannot find the “Delete Bricks Data” button: Screenshot by Lightshot

All in all, still cannot edit the current data with Bricks.

Go to Bricks, Settings then click Enable “Delete Bricks data” button in the Miscellaneous section under the General tab

Hi @Sam2,

As @schubertz mentioned, you can enable “Load Gutenberg data into Bricks,” but first delete the current Bricks data. But note that this would only work for certain native blocks, not all blocks (e.g. third-party blocks).

Ok, I found where to enable the “Delete Bricks data” button. However, even if I have clicked the “Delete Bricks Data” button, waited for a while until it finishes the process, then hit the button of “Edit With Bricks”, but still nothing showing in the Bricks building page (Screenshot by Lightshot).

Again, my website was created with WPBakery. Is this the reason why the content doesn’t show up in Bricks? If it’s reason, it means that I have to build the website all over again from zero by Bricks?

What I expect is, for example, in this page https://prnt.sc/749OySlfgAl_, I can just delete the useless words, and remain others, and use bricks to beautify the entire website.

If all of the blocks you used were from WPBakery then yes that might be the issue, as previously mentioned only native Gutenberg blocks will be loaded in the Bricks editor.

You can try to insert a native Gutenberg text block and paste some content there to see if that shows up in the Bricks editor but it might be faster just to recreate everything in Bricks.
