Hi @mr.matt.eastwood ,
I’ll mark this as a no-bug. The overlay is working, but you set the menu width to 100vw, and the overlay is applied over the visible part of the website. So, if you set “width” as a 50vw, you should be able to see where the overlay apply

Ah, yes, I see. So it’s not possible to put an overlay over the background image? I guess filters are the way to go here?

Yes, with “Background Filters” you will be able to make the image a bit darker so that the text will be visible.
