I have been trying the license deactivation and blacklisting system and found some problems.
If I remove the license or blacklist a domain from Bricks Account panel it doesn´t affect the website, since in Wordpress the Bricks License continues active. It seems the Bricks Account doesn´t communicate with Wordpress. Only if I remove the license in Wordpress will it comunicate back to the Bricks Account panel and it is removed from the listing.
Is there something I’m missing out here? Has anyone else found this issue?
The license check is performed every couple of days (more often would unnecessarily hurt performance).
So if you have added domains to your blacklist, the next time the license check is performed, it’ll fail, and editing with Bricks on this site won’t be possible.
I’d recommend using the whitelist URLs feature instead, though. This way, you also ensure the previous client can’t use the license on any site you have not blacklisted.
The domain was blacklisted for the last 2/3 days but in the Wordpress panel it’s still ACTIVE and I can use the EDITOR. So it’s not so linear as you say.
I now removed the domain from the blacklist and added the approved one’s to the whitelist. Let’s see in 2 or 3 days how it goes.
Meanwhile, 4 days have gone and checked the account and the Wordpress install and I continue to have the same issue. The license is still active and I was able to update the theme.
This poses a problem since I can´t effectively remove licenses from clients website’s without backoffice access.
Hi Pedro,
Would you be so kind as to send temporary login credentials and a link to this thread to help@bricksbuilder.io using the email address you used during the purchase?
