NO BUG: Interaction Feature Issue with 'tada' Animation on Hover in Footer Section

Browser: Chrome 110
OS: macOS / Windows / Linux / etc.

Hi everybody!

I seem to have encountered a strange behavior with the interaction feature in my footer section. I am trying to toggle the “tada” animation when I hover over the “Contact” label, but unfortunately, the animation does not trigger when I hover over it. I have also applied the :hover pseudo-class to make the text brighter, which is working as intended. I am unsure if the :hover is interfering with the interaction in some way or if there is something wrong with my settings. Could this be a bug?

I have attached a picture of my settings for reference:

I am running the latest non-beta version of Bricks (1.7.3).

Any help or guidance on how to resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hi Dennis,
Thanks so much for your report!

Is this the only interaction you have on the page? If so, it is a known issue in 1.7.3 that should be fixed in 1.8 beta. Can you please check this again?

Best regards,
timmse

Hi @timmse,

Thanks for getting back to me.

Yes, I have installed the 1.8 Beta version and have noticed that the “problem” still occurs. However, upon further investigation, I realized that the issue only happens when I view the page in the page builder’s “preview mode”. When I actually preview the page on the frontend, the animations work perfectly fine.

I believe this is because the preview mode does not fully replicate the actual frontend environment and does not allow for the interactions to be previewed. Hence, the issue is not actually a problem but just a limitation of the preview mode.

Best regards,
Dennis

Hey Dennis,

“Running interactions inside the builder is not supported. Please preview your page on the front end to confirm your interactions are running as expected.”
