NO BUG: Importing remote template - no styles, no config?

Browser: Firefox 135.0b7 (64-Bit)
OS: Windows
URL: local dev
Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u7NQyEXvB14

I’m new to Bricks and trying stuff in my first website. I use Local.

When I use a remote template (community or bricksmaven) it seems the import is not completed as I’m missing the styles or config. It seems only the structure and some pictures are imported. But I try to import a template with negativ margin style etc. as you can see in my screenrecord. But everything is just plain in the canvas and on the frontend so I have to style everything by myself.

I tried a lot. I already changed from http to https and changed the Firefox config about clipboard.

If it matters: I started with the beta version to use components but had problems with Advanced Themer. So I deleted the bricks theme and replaced it with the latest public version.

Hi,
Welcome to the forum, and thanks so much for your report!

Unfortunately, I cannot reproduce the issue (locally or live). Are there any console errors during the import?

Also, have you tried it on a live installation and still can replicate the issue? If so, It’d be best to send access data and a link to this thread to help@bricksbuilder.io, so we can investigate the issue.

Best regards,
timmse

Hi, thank you. I use Bricks the first time, I don’t have a live system now. But I created a fresh WP instance with Bricks + child theme only in Local. Everything works in a fresh WP.

I disabled ALL plugins, no difference. I checked some Bricks settings but can’t imagine there is a mistake. Maybe the database is corrupt. I disabled my header and footer, still the same. The import is different than in a fresh WP.

I’ll send you access data to my Local. Thank you.

Hi Akay,
Thanks for the login credentials!

The styles are on the original “base” breakpoint, not on your custom larger breakpoint, because neither we nor bricksmaven can know that you are using a larger breakpoint.

As far as I know, Advanced Themer allows you to copy styles from one breakpoint to another. You should do this if you want to keep your larger breakpoint.
