NO BUG: If I enter 'data-driven' in a Gutenberg textfield and than render with a bricks template all text right after 'data-driven' is not showing up

Browser: Safari latest
OS: macOS
URL: Link to a page that illustrates this issue
Video: Short screen recording that illustrates this issue (free tool: jam.dev)

If I enter some text containing ‘data-driven’ in a Gutenberg textfield and than render that text with a bricks template all text right after ‘data-driven’ is not showing up. I then found out that once I enter ‘data–driven’ not with a hyphen but a dash it works just fine. I then searched through my posts and found out that a lot of posts have scrambeled texts..
Is there a way to fix this?

Hi @hithereitsme,

thank you for your report, however, I’m not sure how to replicate it locally. Can you record a step-by-step video on how to replicate it?

Thank you,
Matej

Hi @hithereitsme,

you can’t upload directly to the forum, so you should record a video using something like https://jam.dev/ or a similar service and share a link.
Alternatively, you can upload the video to file sharing service and then share it from there.

Best regards,
Matej

Oh ok, thanks. Here is my link from dropbox: Dropbox
Sorry for the horrible screen recording, was my first time. What I noticed is, that the ‘data-driven’ issue is mostly happening in the first block before the read-more block. But it also happens in url’s or captions. And on the last example in the video there are two more occurrences of ‘data-driven’ that I haven’t shown as they were in a block below the read-more block and didn’t cause any strange issues.

Sorry, it was a bug in the functions.php that caused the issue. No need for further help.

Thanks for letting us know, the topic is now marked as no-bug

Thanks,
Matej
