I have created a component with a form in it as I just want to reuse it on different pages. However, the form I have on my homepage won’t allow any submissions. All the other forms on other pages work fine. The homepage form shows a warning after clicking the “Submit” button, but it’s not the warning you can configure in the form settings (which I have changed). It reads “An error has occurred, please try again later.”
I am really lost as to what is causing this issue. My suspicion is it has something to do with the homepage settings since that’s only page where I get the error. But I have no idea what’s causing the problem specifically.
I will set up the 2.0-RC2 on a staging website and get back to you on that. I assume I should try and replicate the site exactly so we can figure out what the issue is?
Another thing I noticed is that when I tried adding another form from scratch on the homepage, this new form worked fine. So it must be an issue with the specific form that’s part of the component. That makes me even more confused, however, as the form works fine on all the other pages where I have added this component. Any ideas why that could be?
Yes, please. But you don’t need to replicate it exactly as you live site, it could be a minimal example, just so that I can replicate it. If possible, do not use plugins
Yep, this would indicate that it’s the issue with a component…but I have no idea why it would not work in the frontend page only. When I’m testing stuff locally, I most of the time do tests on the front page, but I haven’t encountered this issue.
Let me know once you have a staging. Once you do, you can you send temporary login credentials to your staging website and a link to this topic to help@bricksbuilder.io using the email address you used during the purchase.
Sorry it took me a while to get back to this, had to put this issue on hold for some time. I eventually resolved the problem just by building the form from scratch again.
I don’t know what was causing the issue with the old form, probably a bug or something. But since other forms I added worked on the homepage, I figured recreating the form I wanted would work. And it did :))
thank you so much for getting back to us, and I’m happy to hear that it’s working now. I’ll mark the topic as no-bug, as it looks like something was off with the form element.
But, if it happens again, please let me know.
