Please take a look at the video, which illustrates the issue I’m experiencing: searching in ACF meta fields works in Bricks v1.12.4 but not in v2.0.

I’m working on a new site in Local and have cloned the site to install and test Bricks 2.0. I’m using a Filter-Search element to search two post types and three ACF meta fields. Searches of ACF meta fields were working great in v1.12.4, but fail in v2.0.

These two sites are identical. I simply cloned the v1.12.4 site and upgraded to v2.0. The video did not show that I can successfully search (in both sites) for post titles. I’m using ACF Pro v6.4.2.

I have Enable query sort / filter / live search and Custom fields integration enabled. There are no third-party filter plugins installed. Query Bricks data in search results is enabled on both sites (tried disabling it with no effect).

In the video, you see a Filter-Checkbox module. That’s set to search on taxonomy and works fine. The tax and CPT (work and articles) were created in functions.php, not in ACF (but they work just fine with ACF fields).

I am running Advanced Themer, but have tried disabling it on both sites, and it didn’t change the outcome.

Hi Bill,

As per our email conversation. It’s not a bug.

Query filters will not search your post from the custom field.

You should use a snippet to modify it

I’m seeing the same issue here. ACF meta field search works in Bricks 1.12.4 but not in 2.0. Post title search is fine, but meta fields return nothing.

Have you found any solution or workaround yet?
