I just installed version 1.12.1 for a new website.
Created a simple header template with a section and a container. It has a logo and a home menu. The header template condition is to be shown in the entire website.
Then created a test home page.
To my surprise the header was not shown in the page. I figured that the header template should be published, and I did.
Then the header appeared in the test home page but the tool bar to add sections and blocks did not show when editing. Even if adding a section from the left menu, the structure shows the section but in the page was blank and not able to be selected.
I place the header template back to draft and then I was able to see the tool bar and add sections in the editing page. But still the header won’t show up as part of the page.
Am I missing a bricks setting?
This is a new installation and I do not find the reason for this.
Can you give a screenshot of the builder, where the issue is visible? Or even better, a video. Also, are there any errors in the developer console?
Might be also worth checking Bricks known issues article on academy (Known issues – Bricks Academy), especially if you have Cloudflare. It might also be an issue with CSS or something in the header itself. It’s worth trying to create a new one, with maybe just basic text as a content, and apply it to whole page, so you cha check if it’s working then.
About a header. If it’s in Draft status, it will not be applied to the page. It will show only if it’s published, so I suppose that works as intended.
