NO BUG: Dropdown nav won't close on click

I thought this was a bug that was fixed in v1.8 but I’m having the same issue now. I can click the dropdown menu icon to open it but clicking it again won’t close it. I’ve tried it with Nav Menu and Nav (Nestable) and neither one works.

Browser: Chrome 110
OS: macOS / Windows / Linux / etc.
URL: Link to a page that illustrates this issue
Video: Short screen recording that illustrates this issue (free tool: jam.dev)

[Please describe this bug in as much detail as possible so we can replicate & debug this bug]

Hey @kr13,
first, welcome to the community

I can’t reproduce the issue though. Can you record a video of the bug and dropdown settings, so that I can try to replicate this locally?

Thanks.
Matej

Hi @Matej here’s my video. I disabled all WordPress plugins, created a new Header Test template and add a nav element. All I did was select the WordPress menu, I didn’t change anything else. When I preview the template the dropdown menu will not close on click. I’ve looked at it on my tablet and I cannot close the dropdown.

Hello,

I see now. If you need this control, you can use “Nav (nestable)” element, where you have a control for that in a Dropdown element. Dropdown element → Content → Toggle on, and you can choose on hover, on click or both.

For the menu you have, you should be able to close the menu by clicking anywhere on the page.

Best regards,
Matej

Got it. Thanks for clearing that up.
