NO BUG: Default Animation duration is not applied

Bricks Version: 1.5.6
Browser: All Major
OS: Windows

I was struggling with the Bricks animations being jaggy for a long time. Every animation was just instant. No smoothing whatsoever. Then I figured you have to manually choose the Animation Duration too, although it appears that Normal(1s) is the default as it is greyed out but no you have to choose it. That’s why I have put this in Bugs rather than Feature Requests section.

Kind of defeats the purpose of a default setting. Could you guys make it so if an animation option is chosen under ‘Entry Animation’, the duration gets automatically selected as Normal(1s) too?

Would save a couple of clicks.

Thanks.

Hi Khan,
Thanks so much for your report!

Unfortunately, I cannot reproduce the issue. Are the animation settings possibly overridden by a plugin or custom CSS? Please take a look at the screenshot, which shows the default.

Best regards,
timmse

Fixed it.

I must say I never expected that but the animations on my OS were disabled under Advanced System settings → Performance, it was causing this issue in the browser. Basically, it was turning the default animation-duration from ‘1s’ to ‘1ms’, hence the instant anims. Very weird I must say that manually setting to 1s solves the issue.

Mark this thread as solved please. If it can be fixed then wonderful
I am a performance nerd, hence turn off unnecessary OS animations. Never knew it would affect the browser too.
