[Please describe this bug in as much detail as possible so we can replicate & debug this bug]

Hello,

We are using the bricks contact form, and the ‘Reply to email address’ setting has stopped working.

After receiving a message from the form, hitting reply no longer auto-fills the email address from the form’s ‘Email’ field. Instead, it replies to the website’s main contact (and send from) email address, not to the user who sent the form.

We have tried populating the ‘Reply to email address’ with the Email field ID like this: {{efdvvy}}

We have also tried leaving it blank which should default to using the Email field as the reply address.

Caches have been cleared and the contact page is excluded from cache anyway.

We can’t seem to fix it.

Please can you help?

Best wishes,
Lanx

Hi @lanxalot,

Thank you for your report. I believe I already replied to you over email but just in case you didn’t see it: I couldn’t replicate this locally. If you’re able to, you can share temporary admin access (over email) and we’ll look further into it.

Hi Charaf,

Sorry for the delay and thank you for checking this. I believe there is a clash with the Zoho SMTP plugin. Disabling that restores the functionality. What SMTP plugin do you recommend for Bricks?

Many thanks

I’m glad you found the root cause :slight_smile:

I generally set up SMTP on the server level. Some managed hosts make it easy to do so (in my case it was Cloudways). As for SMTP plugins, in particular, I didn’t face any issues with WP Mail SMTP by WPForms but I can’t say for sure whether it’s the best or not.
