NO BUG: Classes don't overwrite styling

Browser: Firefox latest
OS: macOS
URL: Test site – Tobias Erlach

Hey everyone!

I have the following problem: Added classes don’t seem to overwrite my styling on elements (inside the builder).

Inside the builder:

o

On the page front:

The ONLY way my styling works, is when I apply it directly to the element.

Not even Custom CSS with ‘!important’ works.

Hope there’s a simple solution to this - but I’ll still list it as a BUG here.

Hi @tobi,

can you show your set up so that I can understand it better?

Where do you add the classes, and how you style them?

Best regards,
Matej

Hey Matej,

I styled it with the builder, no custom CSS/code - that’s why I find it so weird.

I’ve recorded a quick demo video:

Hi, thanks!

My next idea would be to enable this option, under Bricks Settings → Performance tab.

Can you test, and let me know?
Matej

Thanks for your fast reply, Matej,

just checked and it’s disabled.

I might have a hint tho - a few days ago I accidentally uploaded CSS-Variables, not to the Variables-Manager but accidentally into the Class-Manager, maybe that’s causing the issue, but I don’t have a clue on how to check that…

Hi,

Uh, is the option disabled, or is “class chaining” disabled? Just so that we are on the same line, it should be like on the image above

Hmm, this could be the case . Or not. I never tested this situation  Do you have a stating website, that you could send credentials to, so I can play around and check it?
If yes, can you send temporary login credentials to your test/staging website and a link to this topic to help@bricksbuilder.io using the email address you used during the purchase, so we can take a look?

Best regards,
Matej

Oh I see,

when I have it enabled (like the image obove), it works better:

The name is still not styled… weirdly…

But as a result a few other things don’t seem to work as intended so I had to disable the option again.

I will provide you with a staging site.

Hi @tobi,

as figured out over the email, the issue was with one class that did not contain a name. After removing it with Class Manager, it works.
