NO BUG: Cannot open post editor

Bricks Version: 1.5.7
Browser: Chrome Version 107.0.5304.107 and MS Edge Version 107.0.1418.42
OS: Windows

I cannot open the post editor. Getting the error: The editor has encountered an unexpected error. I tried isolating each plugin through the health check plugin but couldn’t replicate the problem. Even rolled back to an earlier backup, including rolling back to Wordpress 6.1 but still had the same problem. Everything points to Bricks. Please help. TIA

Here is the first part of the code error: This site won’t allow me to add extra links

Welcome to the forum!

When you say “post editor”, do you mean the Bricks builder or the default WP editor?

Also, can you post step-by-step instructions to try and reproduce the issue? And it would help immensely if you added your system info to help with troubleshooting. See below.

Bricks Version: 1.5.7
Browser: Chrome 90
OS: macOS / Windows / Linux / etc.

Its the default WP editor but the only variable now after troubleshooting is the Bricks child theme.

Bricks Version: 1.5.7
Browser: Chrome Version 107.0.5304.107 and MS Edge Version 107.0.1418.42
OS: Windows

I tried troubleshooting with the health check plugin and deactivated all the plugins. If I use any other theme I can access the post editor. I reactivated all the plugins in a different theme and can access the editor. If I activate the bricks child theme with no plugins, I still get that error.

The page builder access has the same error as well.

  1. Did you try switching to the main (parent) Bricks theme?
  2. Can you share the whole error log? Screenshots of what you’re seeing or a screen recording would help too.

I did switch to the bricks parent theme, and it works fine. I took out my URL as I didn’t want to share it here.

Here is the error code for the page editor

  1. Do you have the latest Bricks child theme installed?
  2. Did you make any modifications to the child theme?

Child theme version is 1.1 and no, I did not make any changes to the theme

 … Can you try deleting the child theme, re-download it from your Bricks account, and install it again?
