NO BUG: Builder access not working for editor

Browser: Zen, Chrome and Safari
OS: macOS

Hi! I added a user with the editor role on a website. I set the builder access to “Edit content” for the editor role. But the user can´t access much in the builder. See attached screenshot. Nothing happends when I click on an element. And no elements/widgets/blocks are visible in the left sidebar.

Update: It was a setting called “Strict Editor view” in Advanced Themer. Leaving this here in case someone else with AT has the same problem.

Hi Patrik,
Thank you for your feedback. It would be good if you could contact AT support to get this sorted.
I think there have already been one or two reports on this - but as it is a third-party feature, there is nothing we can do about it.

Yeah, it was Maxime (the plugin author) who told me how to fix it. So it´s all good now!

I’m having the same problem. @Kekke can you give me a hint for how to fix it?

@Speculabilis Sure! In my case it had to do with the “Strict editor view” in Advanced themer.
Maxime, the plugin author of Advanced Themer, replied to me in the Facebook group for AT:

“You can disable it completely in the theme settings > global settings, but I’d suggest to watch videos about it cause the strict editor view is an easier way for your clients to edit the pages using the builder without messing with the styles you applied.”

Here is the link: Strict Editor View - Advanced Themer

Hope it helps!

Thank you for the quick reply, @Kekke !

I thought Maxime had indicated a way to get the ‘Strict Editor View’ working properly, but I’ve realised that his indication was to turn the feature off.

As I’m new to using Bricks, this Advance Themer feature looks really interesting and much more granular than the option given by Bricks Builder:

My indications are to never turn AT’s features off

Right, I thought that your indication to @Kekke was to get a working solution as “Strict Editor View” was not working properly in this case.

It’s working fine. It just needs to be correctly setup, and that requires to watch a couple of tuts on YT.
