Browser: Firefox 117.0.1 / Chrome 116.0.5845.188 OS: Windows ( prbly Linux & macOS as well) URL: Doesn’t matter, but most noticeable on large pages like the shop page
In general, I experienced TP as fast translation plugin with almost no delay in loading speed, compared to other plugins. The handling is simple, therefore much appreciated.
But unfortunately, it is slowing down bricks a lot – even in its native language. After changing the theme to themes like Twenty-Twenty-One, Customify or even Divi 5, the page loading speed is much faster. I did try separating CSS & HTML as well, but there’s still no improvement.
The main problem is the initial HTML request – which does usually take up to 1s or even worse itself and is unusable.
What I noticed: The speed is somewhat acceptable if you use the WooCommerce Products element, but gets worse in case of a query loop products-overview.
Can you please share temporary admin access to help@bricksbuilder.io with a link to this thread? This access will also be shared with the Translatepress team as we try to get to the bottom of this
Meanwhile, I was already in exchange with Translatepress, and they managed to figure out some problems – there will be a performance based update in approx 2 weeks.
I did share my credentials with their support team, and since my page had extreme differences with/without TP, they’d like to make a copy of it – which I probably will accept. Is there still a need for the credentials for your part?
TranslatePress released version 2.6.3 which should address the performance issues identified in different page builders. Can you please confirm if it’s working as expected for you now?
