NO BUG: Bricks Editor not loading on home page

Hello, when i am only trying to edit this certain page the bricks editor will not load and i get a white screen with no error. It is stuck on this url (Website Design and Marketing - Business Web Social). I do not have any performance plugins, I have already cleared all cache on my host and deactivated all plugins and the issue still persists. I host with WP Engine so the cloud flare tips do not apply.

It takes 36 seconds for the site to load for me. 100MB of content is transferred. Insane. :slightly_smiling_face:

What is your WP memory limit?

I have updated it to 256MB but that still did not resolve error

It is possible that it is not loading because you have 100MB of content on the page.

Potentially but it was loading fine yesterday and I did not make any additional changes today

Also the majority of content is SVG images

Still, dev tools says 92MB of content is transferred to load the page. Even an extreme bloated website would be no more than 10MB.

Do you have a solution? I can trim the fat if I can get into the page

I disabled the content and now its loading in 1s but still editor is not loading

Try to disable object cache in wpengine settings. You can not remove cache in homepage that is a wpengine thing.

Also try to switch to dev mode.

I am in dev mode currently from my understanding. Let me try to disable cache now.

I disabled cache and even removed it from being home page and still isnt loading the editor.

Must be browser related. Try to clear browser cache. Or do it in incognito. Better yet use a different browser that hasnt used bricks.

Every other page editor is working just not this main page

Open the page from wordpress admin not using bricks, there is an option in the upper right hand to browse Revisions. Back track a day or two, and see if that works.

Otherwise, rebuild the page design and keep a duplicate working copy before adding in the data.

Try going to settings >> permalink and hit the save changes button.

It looks like you removed the “Home” page from being the front page. The “Home” page still has the same content if that it what you are trying to edit.

https://businesswedev.wpenginepowered.com/home/

is different than

https://businesswedev.wpenginepowered.com/

because the front page is the default wordpress “your latest post” dynamic page now with your header and footer template showing. You can’t load that in the editor.
