Hello, timmse,
and thank you for your answer! I already had seen your similar answer on this post:
So this is the “official” way to add variable fonts, right? I’m asking because I had already tried to read everything available on variable fonts, and it was difficult to get sufficient informations.
The official Bricks tutorial on YouTube ist quite outdated and does not mention variable fonts:
Just for users like me, the actual way of managing variable fonts is unintuitive because:
- You have to upload your variable font ignoring the “400 (Normal)” label, and there is no mention of variable fonts whatsoever
- Most tutorials (and the forum link above) mention multiple uploads of the same file at different weights. (Does not work in my case, as mentioned in my first answer above).
- It would be great to be able to use the Font weight dropdown (which could reflect the available weights of the variable font!) instead of typing in font variations.
Please take this as suggestions, not harsh criticizm! Anyways, it works well the way you described, uploading only one file and entering font variation weights “manually”.
Cheers!
