It’s probably a good idea to set a max width for your outer sections (or rather the divs inside the outer sections), so you have control over how it looks on really wide monitors.

Having too long lines of text doesn’t give a good reading experience. A lot of the text spans all the way from left to right margins of the browser. A lot of designers solve this issue by having text and images side by side on large viewports.
