Localhost TLD not accepted

Bricks Version: 1.3.6

Hi,

I have spoken with Thomas regarding the localhost TLD I use > .dev.cc
This is not a .dev TLD but a localhost TLD registered by StudioPress who create the DesktopServer local WordPress Development software.

BricksBuilder is counting this localhost environment as my single license. It was suggested that I remove my license from my dev environment and then activate on my live server. #really?

This is not acceptable and a real pain with troubleshooting.

Please add the .dev.cc localhost TLD to your allowed localhost TLD’s so i can use my license.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,
Dale

Hi Dale,
Welcome to the forum!

I’m afraid I can only recite my response to your Facebook post:

“.cc is the Internet country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for the Cocos (Keeling) Islands, an Australian territory.” Source: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/.cc

It doesn’t make a difference if you use dev in front of it, because .cc is a valid TLD.

I would suggest you change your TLD to .dev or .local (using a plugin like better search replace), because both are not valid TLDs and can only be used locally.

Best regards,
