Hi all, not sure what’s causing this. I have a load more for y FAQs it works on desktop but not iPad or mobile. Is it because the condition is a click event? Do I need to do this some other way?

Thanks for any advice.
The load more function is not a condition, but rather an interaction – this way you can call the query in question.
Thanks — I misspoke same problem. I meant interaction. Any ideas?
I had a try and your load more doesn’t work even on my laptop, forget about mobile. I tried to recreate the issue, but it all works for me on my test site. Maybe relook at how you have your structure setup and also share some screenshots of your interactions settings and your html structure.
Thanks. If you don’t mind can you try it again? I think I found the issue. Tried all kinds of things BUT long story short, I had these FAQ sections as templates, and used as a shortcode. I think I was copying and pasting the shortcode element from page to page and then replaced the code… since I have replaced the element with a new shortcode… it seems to be working for me on desktop, mobile and iPad.
I had a look this morning and whatever you did, did the trick and seems to be working both desktop and mobile. Good job! =]
One thing to keep in mind … when you have multiple queries on one page, make sure to check the “Is Main Query” option to help prevent conflicts.

Cheers
Thanks for checking it for me. Also appreciate the tip. I am only using one query though and using filters with it.
While I have you- someone that seems very knowledgeable- can I ask you another question?
Do you know of a way to change the default filter setting from All to one of the filters? I would love to figure out how to make the most important section be turned on for the page it is on. I’m guessing it gets hard to do and would require a unique version per page (maybe conditions could work) vs the template/shortcode I am using now. Anyway thought I would pick your brain and see if you could point me in a direction.
Thanks again!
Hey there,
No worries, I think I have an idea for you if you like – I can do up a video showing you when I mean?
Let me know if you are interested.
Cheers
Thanks— would love anything you could share, but I don’t want to put you out either.
Thanks so much.
Jim
No worries, all good. I will do up some basic examples ( a couple) and see if this is the/or the direction you want to go. Stay tuned.

Thanks so much, I will watch this tonight after I get the kids in bed! I’ll follow up!
Sounds good … keep me posted.
Thank you for this overview! First, excellent points and ideas here’s—
Had not thought about the pagination, that might be better in this case!
The other thing I noticed that was happening for you and me in Chrome atleast for me, the long single column should have been two columns. I had reached out to Brixies about this and it was fixed at some point, but I thought it was just my Chrome as it worked on chrome on my iPad. The 2 columns made UX better but having that with pagination is probably the win.
Overall, I follow the same set up, I have all my FAQ’s as CPTs already, thats also the only way I think the filtering would work and of course keeps things dynamic, but the Tabs idea is interesting. I have used tabs in the past but thought it would be bad practice since I thought you needed a separate query for each tab. Did you mange to use one somehow?
Also LOVE the idea of the cleaner URL vs. the parameter string… This just brings attention to the fact I probably could have planned better for this, but this website has been lets build the plane while we are flying approach. So the URL’s are already queued up within their marketing channels and can’t change, but great idea. Thank you.
Also and I know you didn’t ask, but I would like to share, your approach and your voice are very relaxing AND engaging to watch/listen to. So cool to hear someone after chatting over a thread like this. So I guess my point is again, thank you for all of this and I bet if you were (if you are not already) to make tutorials, they will follow!
Thanks again my friend!

Hey Jim,
Good morning, this is your local radio announcer coming to you with the local weather. =]
Excellent, thanks for the clarification and good to see you too are a CPT guru.
I have created a new video and uploaded it so you can use it anytime and share it whenever you wish. It shows how you setup the tabs using queries (yes, you do have multiple queries, but they are all independent of each other). The Tabs are queried to a CPT taxonomy; the Panel is queried to the CPT taxonomy; and the accordion just has one query to the CPT.
I also explain the url_parameter option as it can be helpful for when you do have those urls out there that you can’t change but need to use.
So, grab some popcorn and enjoy the show: Bricks Query Tabs + URL Parameter
Glad to help! =]

Thanks Shingen,
Locked in for the night and was looking forward to this, but it looks like your link is at a local host and it’s not working for me. I’m on my iPad but I wouldn’t think that matters. Can you double check it?
Thanks again!
Jim
Hey Jim, sorry about that … that is what we call a “Bonified Brain Fart”! =]
Here is the actual link: Bricks Query Tabs + URL Parameter
I have also updated the post above as well.

Hi shingen,
Sorry I have been slow to reply, we had illness rip through my house last week and am still trying to get caught up.
With that said, I managed to get to finally watch this! WOW! Thank you, this was an amazing learning experience for me. Never even considered this stuff to be done in this way. I am going to have to watch it again and I am looking forward to it. The URL stuff was a gem too!
Thank you again my friend, this is something that really helped me.
Have a great week.
