Interaction: Trigger "Click" to hide element interaction not working in popup / other triggers no problem

I am just starting out with bricks and I am finding it quite powerful. However, I cannot get some basic functionality to work.

It is really best to just check out the page I made to illustrate the problem:

I can get a button to trigger the popup to “show element” with “click” on the page however I cannot get the icon OR the button on the left to trigger “hide element” with the “click” interaction.
Other triggers such as “hover” work fine. It is also possible to close the popup by clicking outside of it.

Is this a bug or am I just missing something really basic?

I have the same interaction settings for my close icon in the popup and they work fine.

Is the “Popup correct” the right Popup?

Yes.
Both the interactions between working and not working are identical apart from the trigger.

I solved this by making a NEW popup and setting it up identically.

I still don’t know why this one didn’t work.
