Inner Query Loop Problems

Hello Bricks Support Team,

I am using WordPress with JetEngine and Bricks Builder 2.4.4.

I have created a custom post type in JetEngine with the following settings:

Custom Post Type: Showcases

Post Type Slug: showcases

Taxonomy: Showcase Category

Taxonomy Slug: -showcase-category (as currently configured in JetEngine)

I want to build a page using Bricks Builder with nested Query Loops:

The outer Query Loop displays all terms from the Showcase Category taxonomy.

Inside each category loop, an inner Query Loop displays only the Showcase posts assigned to the current category.

Each category section should display its own category-specific Showcase posts, rather than displaying the same posts or all posts in every section.

In the inner Query Loop, I have configured a Taxonomy Query with the following settings:

Taxonomy: Showcase Category

Field: term_id

Terms: {term_id} (dynamic data)

Compare: IN

Include children: enabled

However, the inner Query Loop does not filter the Showcase posts by the current outer-loop category as expected. I can display the correct Term ID for each category in the frontend, so the outer Terms Query Loop appears to be working correctly.

My questions are:

Does Bricks Builder 2.4.4 support passing the current Term ID from an outer Terms Query Loop to an inner Posts Query Loop using {term_id}?

If so, what is the correct configuration for the inner Taxonomy Query?

Is there a known limitation or bug involving dynamic data and nested Query Loops in this version?

If the native configuration cannot achieve this, what Bricks-supported PHP hook or code example would you recommend to filter the inner Query Loop by the current outer category?

I would appreciate a specific solution for Bricks Builder 2.4.4, preferably using the native Query Loop functionality without requiring an additional plugin.

Thank you for your help.

This is a very barebone Query-Loop Elements Structure that in the outer query loops through the taxonomy category for the post-type post and on the inner query lists all the related posts.

{"content":[{"id":"bavrpo","name":"div","parent":"xaliow","children":["pwhbbj"],"settings":{"hasLoop":true,"query":{"objectType":"term","taxonomy":["category"]}}},{"id":"pwhbbj","name":"div","parent":"bavrpo","children":["lsfoav","hsjoul"],"settings":{}},{"id":"lsfoav","name":"heading","parent":"pwhbbj","children":[],"settings":{"text":"{term_name}"}},{"id":"hsjoul","name":"div","parent":"pwhbbj","children":["ninnqg"],"settings":{"hasLoop":true,"query":{"tax_query_advanced":[{"id":"ymylil","taxonomy":"category","field":"term_id","terms":"{term_id}"}]}}},{"id":"ninnqg","name":"heading","parent":"hsjoul","children":[],"settings":{"text":"{post_title}"}}],"source":"bricksCopiedElements","sourceUrl":"https://boilerplate.local","version":"2.4.4"}

Kochrezepte & Uncategroized are the Term namens and the other text is the post-title of a related post (I don’t have more than two in current local setup)

This works fine for my in my local environment, and if you swap for your own post-type and taxonomy should work.

Hope this helps.

Best Regards
