IMPLEMENTED: Custom breakpoints not included in import/export

Browser: Brave
OS: macOS
URL: N/A

Hi,

Custom breakpoints do not seem to be included in import/export.

To replicate:
Create site one
Create theme style and apply to entire site
Enable custom breakpoints
Create custom breakpoints
Export settings: Bricks edit page/settings/theme styles/edit/export

Create site two
Enable custom breakpoints
Import settings: Bricks edit page/settings/theme styles/add/import
Check theme style is active and applied to entire site
Check breakpoints

Expected: breakpoints from the first site should be active on the second site.
Observed: Bricks default breakpoints still active on site two.

Also tried from the admin panel, just in case:
Export site one settings: Admin/bricks/settings/export settings
Import to site two: Admin/bricks/settings/import settings
Check breakpoints

Observed: Bricks default breakpoints still active on site two.

Is this a bug, or am I doing something daft?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Hi wexdan,
Thanks so much for your report!

Currently, the custom breakpoints are not saved within the theme styles or any other exportable setting, but there is already a feature request for it. Make sure to upvote:

I’ll move this thread to the feature requests / imporvements category, since it is not a bug.

Best regards,
timmse

Thanks for clarifying!

I’ll add my vote.

Yes I just ran into this and they should be able to be imported and exported as I create my baseline site.

+1 for this! It leaves sites pretty broken if you’ve used custom breakpoints or a mobile first approach, and you need to export your build from staging into an existing production site (AKA can’t just completely overwrite the old site).

Any updates on this?

Good timing – it’s possible in 2.4 beta. See the changelog for more details:
