I´m on Local by Flywheel. I have downloaded bricks several times and have done a couple of WordPress installations from scratch.
What can be happening?
Try to install it as a theme not as a plugin

Guys, I am going to admit it, this happened to me too. I guess the authors should state it somewhere - even as part of the marketing message, that this builder is a theme. If nothing, it’s a good differentiating statement marketing-wise. It makes this builder different. What else there is in marketing. Why else are we here:)
