That could always be an option, if I could get confirmation that this is not possible with native bricks filters, I’ll probably go that route. Rather avoid the additional costs obviously

In this case, I would recommend JetSmartFilters as well.
If you already have a full JetEngine/Crocoblock license, JetSmartFilters is already included. (Unless you purchased only the JetEngine plugin by itself.)
No worries man, I indeed only have the JetEngine plugin for now. The use of JetSmartFilters is the way to go, I will look into it if a new case of mine requires it. Thanks for your input and have a great day!
I’m also having issues with the filter and jetengine. even though you can setup the filter in the editor to use your jetengine data, it’s not working on the front end.
I see many replying and recommending jetsmart filters. Well that’s not really a solution to the native filter not working with Jetengine. You might as well have suggested to use ACF or another builder…
