Thanks again. So I didn’t have a page saved with the name “Home” so there was no static page option in Settings>Reading. Once I saved a page named Home then the option for selecting a static page became available.
Glad you got it working. The static page can be named anything. Once you have one or more pages saved, they will appear in the dropdown next to Homepage. Perhaps your page did not save successfully the first time?
You might be right about not saving it right the first time. I assumed it was saving it as “home” but I see that couldn’t be the case, more likely just saving it period is what resolved the issue.
