My video is self hosted and put it in a Container’s background. However the video doesn’t show in Chrome but works fine in Safari. Guess Chrome has blocked autoplay or some sort.
Any workaround?
I guess I found out why. The video is encoded in HEVC. Sorry for buzzing.
Is background video lazy loaded or is there a way to optimize so that the homepage doesn’t become slower? I have added on the container a video that is hosted on Vimeo and I noticed that the google page speed went lower for mile due to using the video as a background.
@timmse I think there is a bug with background video when I open the webpage on iPhone, it is showing the player for a few seconds and then disappears as attached in the image below.
