How to include both Bricks & WP data in a post

Hey all,

Just wondering if it is possible to create a post that contains both Bricks and WP data.

Usecase.

I have set up a template for my posts. Currently, the post content element is set to WP as its data source.

However, I would like to have the post be a combination. For example a TOC (table of contents) is added via the GB editor then some content, then add some tabs in from Bricks, then FAQ blocks from GB.

I know Elementor has a GB block called Elementor Everywhere which you add templates inside of GB. IS there anything similar or a way to combine the two?

Thanks

Mick

Hi Michael,

You can add two post content elements to your template: the first set to WordPress content, the second to Bricks content. So you can use the best of both worlds in parallel

Hey Stefan,

That’s good to know :+1:

Perhaps not wholly what I was after because again you are still limited to the two blocks. I was thinking something more on the fly within the GB editor as and when you need to add something at certain parts within the post.

Perhaps you might want to add a pricing table in the post which is unique and not something you accounted for when adding the second post content template, but it may not be in the right position where you have added the second post content element/or you keep having to change the post template for one post.

I think basically what would be great is if there was a Bricks block for Gutenberg, where it pulled in the shortcode of template section Similar to this for Elementor:

What’re your thoughts, Stefan? One for me to add to the ideas board?

The “AnyWhere Elementor” feature is already built in: create a section template, copy it’s shortcode an paste it into Gutenberg
