How to Clone a Theme into Bricks

Hello,

I am wondering if there is a way to clone a theme using Bricks Builder?

I may not be using the correct terminology in my question so I will try my best to explain.

I am using a premium plugin that adds features to my Wordpress website which they also provide their own them that directly integrates with their plugin but I don’t want to use their theme because the theme had limited design customizations so what I would like to do if possible is clone the theme design into Bricks Builder to potentially have full design flexibility and customizations.

The theme also comes with its own layer of settings for controlling available features that show in the theme. Is it possible to transfer these settings options over as well?

I am not able to use their theme and control design layout because Bricks is also a theme so another idea I thought might work (I could be wrong) is if I could use Bricks Builder as the main themes Child Theme because both support the use of Child Themes. I could be completely mistaken but figured I would ask if there is any possibility of doing that.

If this is something that is possible is there any instructions available to make it happen? TIA

I know your frustration. I have something similar (a Job board) that uses its plugin tied to a theme which won’t work without it.

This plugin might work for you: Multiple Themes – WordPress plugin | WordPress.org if you do not need to use the plugin on non-theme pages (i.e. Bricks pages). It does not work for me as the job board plugin has widgets used on most pages, which defeats the object for me.

That has led me to now learning PHP on code academy :rofl: with the goal of being able to decouple the plugin from the non Bricks theme to the Bricks theme.

For the PHP devs out there, how difficult a task would it be? Taking into account, I have just started to learn PHP - Is it unrealistic?
