How many of you use webp or avif image formats?

How many of you use webp or avif image formats without jpg fallback?

I’d love to go all-in on next-gen image formats and stop worrying about JPG fallbacks, but I’m curious how many of you have already made that switch, and how it’s been working out.

I use webP. Works well, small size.

Some older Apple devices with safari seem to have problems with it.

Transformation is done by my caching plugin Litespeed.

So, am I correct in assuming that you don’t use any jpg fallback? Only webp? If so, have you had any feedback from clients about the images not showing etc.?

I use AVIF with jpeg fallback. No problems so far.

Are you using a plugin for the jpeg fallback? If yes, which one?

Using the casual Shortpixel plugin and don’t care much about the raw images. 10 year old devices mights see images as JPGs, and others as WEBP or AVIF.

I use only WEBP images… :crossed_fingers: no complaint from clients…

But, I’ll consider CompressX for my next project…
