Both Blocky pro and Kadence pro have very powerful hooks for posts, pages, woocommerce, learndash and even custom hooks.
In Blocksy pro its called content blocks and in Kadence pro its called elements.
They have further and even have added expiration date for hooks. It will be nice to have same functionality in Bricks.
That will be awesome if bricks team add hooks features
That’s a great idea!
Because Bricks is both builder and theme, if Thomas wants to compete the competition should be with both builders and popular themes like astra, generatepress, kadence and blocksy. The users who come from builders dose not miss alot but those who are coming from themes miss some nice features like hooks. I have used above mentioned themes just because of thier hook system per condition. Those themes have hook system for logged in, logged out, user role, per page, per post, per taxonomy and so on.
Did you add this to the the board?
I added this idea to board and Thomas said it is pending and will see if possible to include it in board.
I don’t know/understand what is the hook for.
Can someone please explain to me?
Adding my voice to this.
I would love to see this feature.
It would be nice to create templates that dynamically display based on the desired hook.
It would also be nice to define custom hooks on a bricks website to display content as well.
Hooks are places within a theme or plugin where developers can add content dynamically. Think of it like a shelf that you can optionally place content into. Themes and plugins often provide hook support for other developers to extend functionality.
