GDPR checkbox in comment form

Why does Brick disable the coockie checkbox for comments and how can I enable it again?

Bricks does not use the default wordpress form for comments, but its own. This disables the checkbox for coockies, even though the feature is enabled in the wordpress settings (when using a different theme, the checkbox is there again). This is not GDPR compliant. There also doesn’t seem to be an easy way to re-enable the checkbox in Bricks.
So Bricks may not be used in the EU and especially in Germany for blogs with comment function. Wordpress has therefore specially set up the checkbox in version 4.9.6 to comply with the GDPR. It seems completely illogical to me that Bricks would disable a feature of Wordpress that was set up to keep Wordpress GDPR compliant.
Under these circumstances, I can only recommend my EU customers not to use Bricks at all.
